The Unit for Biological Evaluation and Diagnosis will be created to potentiate technology transfer and services.

Functions of UBED will include:

a)    any service which may be of interest in the field of applied biology, including the setting up of new procedures for biological evaluation and their possible transfer;

b)    fostering collaborations between research groups and companies;

c)    support for the creation of spin-off companies and other cooperative projects between companies and Institute research groups.
